Qualification

City & Guilds Level 1 Foundation Diploma in Creative Hair and Beauty Studies

This qualification meets the ASL requirements of the Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies. The purpose of this qualification is to introduce the learner to the world of Hair and Beauty engaging their interest through experiential learning. The qualification complements the Principal Learning topics and supports the development of creative and imaginative skills.

Candidates must complete the required number of units to achieve a total of 120-180 guided learning hours from the optional units:

   - Applying basic make-up to the face
   - Introduction to styling men's hair
   - Introduction to styling women's hair
   - Introduction to twisting and plaiting hair
   - Introduction to colouring hair
   - Introduction to nail art
   - Introduction to themed face painting
