- What are Functional Skills?
Functional Skills are practical skills in English, Mathematics and ICT that allow individuals to work confidently, effectivley and independently in life and at work.They will also help develop important skills like communication, team working, presentation and problem solving.
Funcational Skills are a mandatory part of the Generic Learning component of the Diploma and have been identified as being vital for building confidence and gaining the most out of work, education and everyday life.
Functional Skills will be required at the Foundation Diploma at Level 1 and at the Higher and Advanced Diploma a Levels 2.
