Preparing to Teach the New Diplomas
Get technical information about Diploma lines of learning
Prepare yourself for Diploma delivery by attending one of our free of charge Preparing to Teach meetings that are specific to the line of learning that you are teaching. These sessions will go in detail through delivery methods, course planning and assessments giving you confidence to start teaching in September 2010. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of an AQA-City & Guilds Diploma Subject Experts and network with other practitioners.
Day Objectives
• Line of Learning specific information
• Principal Learning and Project information on how to deliver
• Course planning
• Sample Assessment Materials including, mark schemes
• Information on task setting and learner outcomes
• Schemes of work available
• Examiner and/or Moderator available to answer questions
There will be the opportunity to:
• Share experiences with other teachers and consortia
• Expand on knowledge of the AQA-City & Guilds Diploma portfolio and the support available to consortia
• Meet with a Senior Examiner and members of the AQA-City & Guilds support team
Programme
These full day sessions from 10.15 – 15.45. The day will be led by AQA-City & Guilds Diploma Subject Experts and include materials, refreshments and a light lunch.
