Foundation (Level 1) and Higher (Level 2) Projects Overview
You are invited to attend a meeting for Level 1 Foundation and Level 2 Higher Project Qualifications , the purpose of which is to introduce these new qualifications, for first teaching in 2010. These meetings are FOC and are suitable for all teachers who may be involved in the development and teaching of the Level 1 Foundation and Level 2 Higher Project Qualifications. They are not intended for schools and teachers that have been involved in the pilot of the Level 1 Foundation & Level 2 Higher Project Qualifications.
The meeting will provide:
- Overview of the specifications and other Project documentation
- Feedback on the Projects Pilot to date
- Suggestions and examples of what makes an appropriate project
- Suggested strategies for course delivery
- feedback on best practice from schools who have delivered these qualifications

Foundation (Level 1) and Higher (Level 2) Projects (Co-ordinator and Standardisation)
If you are planning to enter candidates for the Level 1 Foundation Project and Level 2 Higher Project in 2010 your Centre Coordinator for these Projects must attend a Centre Coordinator Training and Standardisation meeting. These day sessions (9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.) will provide training and guidance to staff co-ordinating the Level 1 Foundation Project and Level 2 Higher Project within a Centre and training to teachers undertaking internal assessments, to ensure consistency in the interpretation of the assessment criteria. It is compulsory for Centre Coordinators to attend a session.

Extended (Level 3) Project Qualification
Teacher Support continues its programme of courses to support the teaching of the EPQ. This autumn we are repeating our short series of introductory sessions aimed at schools and colleges who are considering introducing the EPQ into their curriculum. The meetings will offer guidance on preparing to teach the AQA specification as well as feedback on the Extended Project Pilot.
These half day sessions (9.45 to 12.15 or 1.15 to 3.45) are suitable for all teachers who may be involved in the development and teaching of the EPQ.They are not intended for schools and teachers that have been involved in the pilot of the EPQ or centres who are teaching EPQ from September 2008.
These half day meetings are being led and resourced by AQA's Senior Examiners for the EPQ.

Extended (Level 3) Project Qualification (Standardisation)
If you are planning to enter candidates for the Extended Project Qualification in May 2009 your Centre Coordinator for the EPQ must attend a Centre Coordinator training and Standardisation meeting. Half day sessions (9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) or (1.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.) will provide training and guidance to staff co-ordinating the Level 3 Extended Project within a Centre and training teachers appointed as EPQ coordinators, to ensure consistency in the interpretation of the assessment criteria on Standardisation.
It is compulsory for Centre Coordinators to attend a session.
