Generic Learning

Generic Learning focuses on learners developing and applying the broad skills and knowledge necessary for learning, employment and personal development.

At each Diploma level; Foundation, Higher and Advanced, Generic Learning includes:

  • functional Skills in English, Mathematics and Information and Communication Technolgy (ICT)
  • Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) which are embeded in the Principal Learning of each Diploma  
  • work experience for a minimum of 10 days
  • projects
