MEDIA STATEMENT

AQA-City & Guilds announced today (28 June 2008) that they have received formal accreditation from QCA for their new Diplomas in:


• Business, Administration and Finance
• Environmental and Land-based Studies
• Hair and Beauty Studies
• Hospitality

These new Diplomas, which will be available for teaching from September 2009, complement the four AQA-City & Guilds Diplomas launched last year in Engineering, Construction and the Built Environment, IT and Creative and Media.

By combining their expertise and reputation for quality in the vocational and schools market, AQA and City & Guilds have developed high quality products that offer flexibility and choice for 14-19 year olds and other learners. AQA-City & Guilds have worked closely with the regulator and Diploma Development Partners to ensure that the Diplomas they are launching today represent class-leading products for the industry and for the learner.

Diplomas we offer

  1. AQA-City & Guilds are working towards offering Diplomas in all 14 lines of learning. We have accreditation in Principal Learning for the first Diplomas on offer from September 2008 in the following lines:

    Creative and Media

    Construction and the built Environment

    Engineering

    Information technology

    We also have accreditation for the Project Qualifications at Levels 1 and 2 and the Extended Project at Level 3. 

    Accreditation for September 2009 Diplomas will be annouced by QCA at the end of June. Included are the following:
