The Diplomas for first teaching in September 2008 are:
The Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment is for 14-19 year old learners who seek to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the broad context of construction and the built environment.
The Diploma in Creative and Media is for 14-19 year old learners who seek to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the broad context of the Creative and Media industries whilst also exploring creativity and the creative application of skills within a flexible programme that enables them to pursue other areas of interest.
The Diploma in Engineering is for 14 -19 year old learners who seek to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the broad context of the engineering industries.
The Diploma in IT has particular relevance to 14 -19 year olds who seek to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the broad context of the Information Technology & Telecoms sector. It is intended to help transform technology-related education for learners, accelerating the UK’s ability to compete in an increasingly demanding global environment.
